Welcome to the official website of the Brooke County Emergency Medical Service or the BCEMS for short.  The Brooke County Emergency Medical Service has two locations but due to flooding, is currently located in  temporary locations.  Station One is temporarily located at the Wellsburg Fire Department and Station Two is located in the basement of the Follansbee Fire Department.  The Billing Department is temporarily located on the second floor of the Brooke County Board of Education in Wellsburg.  The BCEMS is directed by John W Schwertfeger and has 11 full-time and 16 part-time employees.  The BCEMS covers the 92.5 square miles of Brooke County.  Brooke County is located in the Northern Panhandle of the state of West Virginia.  The five major municipalities include in Brooke County are Wellsburg, Follansbee, Weirton, Bethany, and Beech Bottom.  If you wish to contact the Brooke County Ambulance service, please visit our contact page and also be sure to sign our guestbook

 

 

Brooke County Emergency Medical Service

Mission Statement:

    The purpose of the Brooke County Ambulance Service (EMS) is to provide quality emergency medical services to the residents of Brooke County without regard to the patients ability to pay.  The service is provided through a director and a trained staff of paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMT's).  In addition, many trained volunteer paramedics, EMT's, and first responders also help furnish emergency and non-emergency ambulance service 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
